I think it was already identified as a safran. I'm glad he posted because I've never seen one before. I'm hoping next time someone sees something new, they keep it to themselves. I don't have time for this.

Um no...The word algorithm comes from the name of a Persian mathematical genius, Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi.
(I for one bet it was satire, but)
...whose (last part of the) name means "the Chorasmian", i.e. native of the Amu Darya (Oxus) delta region.
In turn, the name of said region, "Khwaresm", was Iranic for either "dark (soil) land" or "lowland".
I wanted to post a new thread. But this forum appears EXTREMLEY OPPOSED TO THAT. So I had to bud in on some thread that might be somewhat remotley similar. I bought a fretless Rickenbacker off of reverb. I had been following it since it was on EBay like 2 years before. It was advertised as a 4001 from the 70s but I think it is a 4003 from the 80s or 90s. Can sonevody please finally confirm what the shag this is?

Serial number looks like November of 1974. I'm not an expert on Ricks. A shot of the capacitors might have more data for a layman like me. Or find a Rick expert.

I play occasionally with this scratch band and I'm playing mandolin in this outfit but the bass player doesn't Capo and the guitarists always Capo to flat the keys with cowboy chords... so the bass player is always hitting a wrong note here and there, because he's doing math in his head. So I went home one day and wondering what it's like to Capo a bass and I capo'd the bass, started playing in the keys as the guitarist that were capo'd also used and it worked out nicely.
So I told the bass player in this little outfit about capoing his bass and he didn't want to do that and susequently, he is still hitting stinkers with regularity.

Are you not using any search engine at all? That is the only way for you to not participate in any data mining. But if you are you could do google lens. Take a static screenshot of the bass and let google search the image for you.
