Any other basses like this?

Just interested to see if there any other basses like this around? I like to versatillaty of the urge bass

Get a jag bass, pop a P in the middle spot, wire the three switches as on/off's, put series switch (jazz pickups) on the plate with the rollers, add in an emg with mid sweep so rollers and pots are used (see john k's jag) and its golden

I call it King Billy. It's a home made job. It has 70's pickup spacing so the P was a comfortable fit. I have the neck J and P going into a mini- three way switch and the output of that going into the blend pot of the EMG BTS system with the bridge J.

I see you have a reverse P pickup... does it sound any different than a normal P pick up?

Yeah, very different. The D/G coil is about 1cm closer to the bridge than a regular P. The E/A coil is about 6cm closer, it makes a huge difference. The E/A coil sounds like a bridge pickup, just with a little bit more meat to it, rather than the usual warm P E/A we know and love.
