Any potential for damage?

Need help/advice.

I've always used combo amps, but recently purchased a Genz-Benz Shuttlemax 9.2, rated at 500 watts @ 8 ohms. I've been saving for a Fearless cabinet, but just saw a Bergantino HD112 on Craigslist, rated at 325 watts @ 8 ohms. (The Bergantino cab is more budget-friendly than the Fearless, obviously.)

I would use the Bergantino at home, at low to medium volumes. My question is: Do I run a risk of damaging the cabinet, as the output of the amp is significantly greater than the capacity of the cabinet?

If you turn the volume up too loud, you can fry the speaker, and fryin' a Berg is a cryin' shame. The good news is that you probably won't turn up the volume that high at home unless you're already seriously hearing impaired (or have a crazed guitarist cranking a Marshall stack around the house) and in general, if you're paying attention at all, you'll hear the speaker starting to distort well before you drive it into the danger zone. Just be careful, and you'll be fine. Just don't EVER let random people who don't know what they're doing use your rig.

This will beat the crap out of any combo amp (I have a CN112 and a Tonehammer500).

The Berg also has a great low end and is pretty efficient. This should work well unless, as noted above, you don't pay attention to what you are doing.
