Any REAL christian punk bands?

Yes, they were poppy, but they ruled. They broke up a few years back though, and now their vocalist is the bassist for Relient K (the one dude that's like 10 years older than other members).



If you can find a copy of their first record, you should get it. One of the best pop-punk albums of all time IMO, Christian or not.

Also, while not really a Christian band, The Vandals' bassist Joe Escalante is a devout Catholic, which was the motivation behind their Christmas record, which is pretty much their only material which relates to God. They do cover "Here I Am, Lord" after all :D He's the only Christian in the band though, I think.


The vocalist from The Mr. T Experience is also a christian, IIRC. But like The Vandals, no actual christian music.

I don't mind poppiness at all, since some of my favorite punk bands are considered pop-punk and I do like MxPx. I just get tired of the insanely poppy stuff like Relient K and Hawk Nelson. While they have some catchy songs I feel like I totally can't relate since i'm not a 13 year old girl. Ace Troubleshooter seems pretty good.
