Any Reason NOT to buy a 5 stringer?

They'll tell you that you just can't get the same "tone" or "feel" or etc. I'm learning on a 5 and comfortably switch to a four even though I'm a beginner. I've seen seasoned, talented pro bassist suddenly become befuddled on a 5!
And dropping that B darkness makes my metalhead happy. Oh yeah, a lot of 4 string snobs are anti-metal snobs. Just because they're happy trying to regurgitate the same sound their idol from 50 years ago lucked onto for some album, doesn't mean you can't forge ahead and create new sound.
