Any review for the EHX Cathedral?

I play for church and want something to fill in the sound spectrum. It looked like the infinity switch could open up a lot of ambient opportunities . Also the tap delay makes it usable for playing live when tempo can change from practice to gig. I don't record, but if you have a better option you think will suite me more I would love a cheaper option hahaha.

So are you planning on running a reverb all the time or just for certain parts? Generally you wouldn't want to run reverb on bass in the context of a traditional mix because it wouldn't be audible and will muddy up the overall mix. If your room is exceptionally dry it might work though. For ambient stuff I think the Cathedral is awesome. It gets as big as anything else in the price range and the infinite/tap switches are definitely cool. The delay doesn't sound great but I think it would work well enough for bass. Now you can have fun doing the ambient swells and give the guitarists a break :)

A used Cathedral should be around $150 or so. I'd also recommend the Boss RV3 and the DigiTech/Hardwire reverb (RV-7 maybe?). I think both of those would be cheaper and would also work well on bass.

I definitely wouldn't be running it all the time and could imagine how thick it could get. The delay is an improvement to me no matter what it sounds like cuz I don't have one lol. Those other pedals are definitely tempting and I will have to look into them.
The main issue is that we don't have a guitar player most of the time...I refuse to learn it and switch so I have too, it apon myself to be more versatile and fill in the effects aspect of our playing. We sound great now but I wanted to bring more to the table. I also wanted to use the enigma q balls pedal for the filter and distortion combo for leads or small riffs. All in the name of a full sounding band !
