Any thoughts on Ibanez SDB3 Sharlee D'Angelo Iceman?

I can't seem to find any reviews on the Ibanez SDB3 Sharlee D'Angelo Iceman. Anyone have any thoughts?
Apparently it's factory strung as 1D#, 2A#, 3F, 4C.
Could it easily be restrung to EADG (or would that mean new nut?).
I've been looking for an Iceman bass for quite a while. Would this be a good version of an Iceman?

Well, might need new strings, too, depending on how far...

Do you know what gauges it uses, and what gauges you're going to? That will determine whether you need a new / adjusted nut.

Per the Ibanez website, the factory string gauges are .060/.080/.100/.120. I'd think you could get away without changing the nut, but I would definitely go for lighter strings for standard tuning.

Meh, that's not too far off the D'addario 160BT set...

It's got the pickups Ibanez used on their SRX series, so they're hot and aggressive sounding.
As a signature model, it's got a pretty steep price for what you're getting.
Icemans are hard to find, but I see really nice ICB300s and 500s every once in a while that go for less than half of that.

Just saw this thread last night. Fantastic looking bass. I've had two Icemans but both were black, a 1995 ICB300, and a 2009 (?) ICB300EX. The selling of the "95 still hurts...

Yes, I agree, I sold mine for this reason. The pickups were inadequate and way underpowered. Also did not pick up the volume equally on the four strings. You were a big help to me and source of information when I had it.

OP- pretty sure the bass you have there is going to be a good one, as KeithAlanK also mentioned, it's got the pickups of the SRX basses , I imagine it will sound very similar as it's got the configuration and control knobs of the ibanez SRX2EX2. In other words, it will probably sound very beefy and robust. Another good Iceman is the ICB500, it's got the pickup selector switch and a slightly smaller body, very hard to find these though.
