any word on new rondos?

Every couple months it seems Rondo puts up old headstock necks on the site. He probably can't sell them on the basses anymore but you can get the necks and swap them. Then sell the old one and you're not out too much. It's a little more work but if its that important...

Plus the old headstock necks come up in the classifieds here all the time and occasionally on eBay. I just started buying them when I first heard of the change...I think I have like 10 spares now. I need Kurt to get some more bodies in stock so I can put them on something! I do have one URSA Jazz and I don't mind the new headstock all that much. I'll use the old kind when I can but it doesn't make it or break it for me.

I don't mind the new headstocks, at least not enough to the point it would keep me from buying an SX bass like I've seen some people state. I don't much care for the way the oval bridge on a Lakland looks, but that wouldn't keep me from getting one, if I liked the bass elsewise.
Having said all that, I just this morning ordered an old HS Ursa neck for my summer project of doing an overall basic upgrade on my Ursa 1, not because I hate the new HS, but primarily as practice for doing upgrade work on a bass. Should be fun.

Honestly,I've thought about it and I dont really care if it looks "fenderish" I just dont want it to look the way it does. I've had ibanez basses, like those headstocks, a gibson bass liked that one too, and a peavey bass and I like that one as well. Granted, the peavey does look fenderish. I don't know, i just dont like triangle shaped headstocks I guess. I'm gonna put to gigsaw to her on the treble side and make that curve more pronounced and I should be happy. The headstocks look great on the six string too, way sweet. It seems fit more for that particular bass.
