I have owned 3 of them and found them to be great sounding amps.
I thought they were a bit heavy , underpowered and pricy when purchased new when compared to other amps on the market.
IMO the red tolex model is the most attractive amp on the market and am always on the look out for a reasonable deal on a used one.
The Flightcase and Super Flightcase combos have it all: compact, transparent amps, useful EQ, articulate 5" drivers (two of which are up-firing for better monitoring) and great build quality. It's an excellent choice for the right ensemble. If you are playing volume wars with bandmates or if you're bludgeoning your audience with decibels, then I suppose you'll want something more powerful. I had no problems lifting the 33lb. Super Flightcase. What other combo can be directly compared?
