Anyone ever converted a Stingray HH to single H?

Just wondering if anyone has ever converted their Stingray HH to a single H?

I'm finding that very often I'm getting the tone sorted on the bridge and moving to different pup configs means changing EQ
all the time. Not much of a problem but I like the simplicity of a Single pup 'Ray. As I see it, I'd only have to take the neck pup out, swap over the pickguard to a single pup one and change the 5-way selector to a three way to select between series, parallel and single coil. Easily reversible.

I quite like the aesthetics of the single pup, but don't have the coin right now for another ray, which would be my preference.

Anyone ever bothered with this before?

Regarding trades, selling etc., I don't want to sell it, it's a great player. I know people get very...protective...about MM's but everything I've mentioned is easily reversible.

I'm actually trying to sell an American Standard Jazz so I can grab a single pup 'Ray but if I get no bites or cold feet, the slight mod would be the next best option.

I think about doing that same thing all the time...I like the look of the single H SR5 over the HH model.

Yeah, it's a totally aesthetic thing. I found a 4-way switch that will give me series, parallel, bridge coil and neck coil options which could be very cool.

The other bummer about the HH models is that the wood under the control plate isn't routed, so it's not easy to change to a 'Ray 2 Band EQ, as most pots don't have long enough shafts to clear both the wood and the plate.

Shoot me the info about the Jazz, I'm looking for one...

Ive had 10 rays...3 of which were HH's. The bridge pickup sounds the same on all of them. there were minor difference between each of the ten as with any model, but there was no difference that was distinct to the HH.
