Anyone got a "hoo doo" song?

I don't know how it translates but here in Australia when something is your "hoo doo" it means that it's got your number, it's going to beat you every time.

So I've got to learn "You are to me everything" by The Real Thing. I already play faster, funkier, more complex songs but for some reason I can't even get the chord progression in my head let alone the notes.

I've been banging away at it for days and getting nowhere when it usually only takes a couple of hours or less to get a workable first draft going. It's a psych, my hoo doo, and it's driving me crazy. And while I do play other songs I don't partcularly like and can get them down pat, if I hear this song again I'll scream.

Anyone else got a hoo doo song?

"Dead Goon" by Mr. Bungle.

I play complex, polyrhythmic technical stuff all day long.

This has murdered me for nine years.

Any bass lines by the band Shalamar, Tower of Power, Brothers Johnson, Bernard Wright. Actually come to think of it, I have more hoodoo songs than ones I have mastered or even come close to. I'll still keep pluggin' away though.
