Anyone got experience with Nordstrand NPJ Blade Set?

Sure thing!
Well I don’t know how they get that output, probably the exposed blade, the winding, ceramic magnets?? I haven’t played a G&L 2000 but I’d love to...

This is probably the last alteration except for a black tone knob with a pearloid top I will add tmrw. Had to have the blocks to go with the Blades. I have to say it came together pretty well. These pickups are life! Puts a Squier Jag to shame......

Well yeah. Blades are way brighter IMO

Thanks. From what I can find newer model T Birds use ceramic humbucking pickups. There are only a few jazz bass sized pickups out there that are ceramic and humcancelling. Nordstrand Blades are one of them. I don’t know how much effect the shape has on tone if anything. Now the construction of a T Bird is totally different than a Fender but I think if I can get close to the underlying tone, I may be able to EQ the rest in.

Yes the ceramic is a really nice option. I’m getting to where I prefer ceramic because it’s not as brittle sounding. I honestly have never played a TBird so I wish I could help you more. The Blades have a lot of punch though and color.

I just installed a set of the "Warm and Wooly" J's. I'm loving them.

I've never heard any basses using the clean and clear, would love too though.

Just read your post and made this. Jazz with the clean and clear blades straight into the focusrite and recorded. 1st full, 2nd bridge and last neck. It's short but it sounds nice.

Holy crap! I just got my npj blade set (warm and wooly)n imy aerodyne p bass. I'll post some before and after sound clips tomorrow. The npj blades sound almost twice as loud and have waaay more tonal options than the lace sensor man-o-war pups i had in there. They were a step up from the fender pups, but these kill them both. These are very aggressive but can be dialed back to be more tame when necessary. Definitely more tonal variety than sd qp pups.
I am impressed.

Here are some sound clips of the old lace sensors vs the nordstarnd npj (W&W)

Played through Ampeg pf-500, eq set flat, no effects, pups in a Fender Aerodyne p bass. Same strings. Tone knob wide open.

These are just for fun. I know they are sloppy.
