i randomly started seeing floaters about three years ago, along with heightened light sensitivity (can't be outside without sunglasses) and other visual distortions. not a retinal detachment issue, multiple ophthalmologists have OK'd me so it's definitely neurological. i thought i was gonna lose it when this stuff started happening, but here i am now, living a pretty normal life.
that's my personal bit. anyways, whether or not surgery is an option depends on what type of floaters you have. lasers can break up large debris into smaller pieces so that they are less noticeable. but get an ophthalmologists opinion on it.
