Been wanting another Tony Franklin Sig bass ,shouldn't have sold that 8lb'r I had. I was considering buying a used one, but realized that I had an old Yamaha P body on the shelf and the electronics and hardware I favor. Also found a TF Sig neck on the web for a decent price. @ 8lb, 1oz I have a nifty fretless P/J.
Anyone else Choose not to board the TF train and build one from parts?

Here's mine - I bought it as a parts-Fretless Precision Bass here on TB and gave it some additional upgrades.

Warmouth Ash PJ Body (hand oiled)
Lindy Frailin Split coil P/J pu's
Hipshot bridge and tuners
Allparts lined fretless precision neck(Ebony)
920D concentric pot jazz bass harness (V/T, V/T +series switch)
TI Jazz Flats

It doesn't look fretless, but it is!

Plays really nice and sounds even better. It covers a wide range of sounds and musical styles.
About 8.5 pounds

I bought a copy made by a brand called Fazley. It was a 'second', and I wanted to see what £80 got me. The 'board is a slab, and whilst the bass is wee bit noisy, it's an absolute joy to play. Low action and plenty of 'Mwahh.' Decent weight, too. The only thing I didn't like about it was the black finish on the rear.
