Anyone hear ever play Summerfest in Milwaukee?

Hey all,

My band, A Line Between, is going to be playing Summerfest here in Milwaukee on July 2nd, and I was just wondering what to expect. I've never played on a stage that big (Harley Stage) and was wondering if my rig would be adaquete, or if I should add an extension cab(s). I'm rockin a Mesa bass 400+ into an eden 212xlt and eden 210xst. This set-up is usually loud enough for the places we play, I just want to make sure I've got enough volume for this big of a stage. Any other advice about Summerfest in general would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

the biggest mistake newbs to outside gigs at large venues make is thinking they need way more rig than they have. those gigs almost always have good pa so in theory an amp isn't needed at all, but if you go in thinking you need way more than what you have, you will no doubt play much louder than you should and screw up your band's sound.

just do what you normally do, turn up to the level that you and your band is comfortable with and don't do anything different. the pa will take care of making sure you're heard. i've done huge outdoor gigs with a 25w amp before and been totally fine.
