Hold a few machine tool patents and several of my early programming efforts are now canned cycles in most CNC controllers. Among many defense related projects, was part of the (civilian) development team for the extruded AMRAM launcher rail, the 40mm Bofors and 105mm M102 mounts for the AC-130 program, the air pallet system for ground transport of the W88 series MIRV, and also worked on some of the 463L air drop pallet upgrades.
On the non DOD side, I did some design consulting work on the (ground) shipping container for the Hubble optics and worked on developing the manufacturing processes for production of US made high speed rail components.
These days I'm a retired dinosaur whiling away the hours in my own personal utility muffin research kitchen where I do (self imposed) therapy designed to mitigate the long term effects of my terminal tinkeritis
