Anyone know about Eric Wilson's sub keyboard?

I've seen him play many a time with Sublime, LBDA, and now their new offshoot band. Once in a while I see him pull out this little black keyboard (probably with 20 keys or so) that has the sweetest keyboard bass sound ever. It gets pretty low into the frequency range. It's probably some sort of custom job but I'd really like to get that sound without spending 2 grand on a Nord synth to get that sound along with 200 other sounds I'll never use.

Any ideas?

My first instinct there is Novation BassStation. It's black and blue, comes in rack version and keyboard version. The keyboard version is indeed tiny, smaller than an SH-101 but has medium to full-sized keys. You can program 8 "patches" into it, no buttons or menus just flip the dial from 1 to 8. Monophonic, so you can't play chords. I loved mine when I was doing synth stuff. Only sold it because I got a Korg Prophecy (the single best monophonic synth in history)...

Hope this helps!
