Anyone know about J&D Jack and Danny Brother Basses

I live near a shop which is full of those. Unlike SX, not all J and D basses are copies of classics. They have some 5 and 6 strings, neck-throughs, even some faux - boutiques with wooden pickup covers. They look good for the price, but I haven't played one so can't vouch for the sound.

These are made by the same company that makes the SX basses.

A local shop here gets them "literally" by the boat loads & they put they're name on them & they have all the models should here.

A friend of mine worked there ... he is the one who told me about rondo music

Hi.

If I'm not mistaken J&D is the house brand of Musicstore.de, just like the Fame.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the SXs, HBs, and J&Ds came from the same factories (programmers), they look so alike.

Who cares, they're dirt cheap and there's always a possibility to improve the hardware a bit (or A LOT ;)).

Regards
Sam

I like the green on this P bass.

I know this thread is way old, but I HAD to bump it, because I own that exact sparkle green J&D P Bass, and I have to say... It is INCREDIBLE. I swapped out the bridge for a stock fender bridge, and put graph tech saddles on it. Would not change anything else. VERY solid bass. Better than all the SX's I've played. :bassist:

Also, Jack and Danny is a very funny double entendre, and it is also two of the main characters from The Shining, so.... triple entendre? Hehehe
