Anyone know anything about Guild Starfire basses?

Who is that guy? Is he the one that Guild confused with me?
From the Guild website about 10 years ago.

And you are still around, after all these many years. Wonderful! Still a member of the bar? Wife still doing her gig? How's about a toast to Eliot's "The Hollow Men"?

Yup. Still playing, still a working immigration attorney, Dawn is still gaining fame and winning awards around the world as a perfumer! <Raises glass!>

One of my favorite basses. Highly recommended if you like that classic late 60s sound. Both the originals and the new releases are fine instruments IMO.

Here’s what the bass sounds like when played with its guitar cousin. FWIW I prefer the single pickup model. But that’s just me.

For a very short time about 10 years ago I had a '67 SF, but with the single pickup at the neck. If it wasn't for the extremely intense cigarette smell I'd still have it.

Everything had an intense cigarette smell back in the day before smoking was banned in all the venues. It eventually faded away, but I used to come home from gigs with a powerful aroma on my person and my gear. I don't miss that.
