Also something to note on ceramic caps, their capacitance gets de-rated with DC voltage applied to them. Meaning, the more the DC voltage across a cap, the more percentage the capacitance drops (most manufacturers provide that info in their datasheets). Not that important in a simple tone control, but definitely worth noting for active electronics.
