Anyone know where to buy an NR Thunderbird Pickguard?

Well, dilemmas in the title

I'm lining up quite a good deal on a NR Epiphone Thunderbird, but want to get it in the direction of the 'classic' look with dual humbuckers bridge covers etc.

This means I have to replace the PG which is routed for P-bass pickups, my best googling hasn't turned up much and I can't afford a custom cut PG.:rollno:

If anyone has any input as to where I can find one that'd be greatly appreciated

Many thanks :D

p.s if anyone also knows where I can get a repro pickup cover then you'll save me having to cut corners with a 58' style Pbass cover :smug:

I saw some Gibson type repro pickup covers on eBay a while back. The PG is going to be tricky. You never know what you can find on eBay though.

FYI. A dilemma is a problem with two solutions, courses of action, or two answers. The dilemma is which answer to pick. ;) :D

Ahh TB, when you finish teaching me about basses for the day you take some time out to help with my failings in the English language :roll eyes:

Anyway, thanks for your help (I'd choose a more descriptive verb than 'help' but for fear you'd call me out on it ;))

What's wrong with learning?

It's not your failing, so many people make the mistake that it's obviously an endemic problem with the education people receive.

I make the point so when others that the education system failed read this they will remember it because I came off as a know it all (or worse). AHA!
