I'm pretty sure the SVT15E was originally paired with the SVT210HE. At least, that's how they were advertising it when I got mine.

Anyone stack 2 SVT15E's?

Actually I know that, The tweeter is totally necessary to the Eden cab though, not so good with the old tube screamer so
I run that one cleanish.
My SVT115's have Altec Alnico 418 Series 11

They are full range drivers and yes the sensitivity is amazingly shown as 105 dB SPL 1 watt one meter.

How would 2 15E's sounds compared to a 8x10? I'm sure two 15's push out much more low end but what about the overall feel? Similar?
a 215 gives you on the average about the same amount of air movement as a 410. however, there are 410's that can easily push out more low end than a 215...like the 410hlf. compared to a 410he, yeah, i'd say the 115e would push slightly more low end, but no way it has low end like that 410hlf. of course, since pushing that kind of low end is super-unimportant to me, i'm happy with my 810 and i'd be happy with a stack of 115e's, too.
Found a 2X15E SLM era cab near me, want to put it beside my SLM 8X10E and run it with my MESA BASS 400. I hope they sound good together (JimmyM you have me all worried about phasing and stuff) and that my head has no problems giving them juice (I have been told my head can only go down to 4 Ohms, but others say "I have been doing 2 Ohms for years and nothing has ever gone wrong"). Not meaning to jack your thread but, Does anyone have an opinion on the Ohms thing? I will let my ears decide in regards to the phasing thing. Cheers.

I stack two B115Es for some gigs, and they sound pretty nice. No tweeters in them either, but that's not the sound I'm looking for if I bring those cabs. The Ampeg cabs (either the SVT or B series) definitely have more low end than the Avatar-class 2x10s, as I also use a pair of those (Warwick 211 Pros, actually, very comparable soundwise) on some gigs. The cab volume, tuning, and driver all contribute to this.
It wouldn't be a loss for you, that's for sure. And I can assure you with certainty that they are easier to load in/out than a single cab.

OTOH, Jimmy, the 410HLF is almost as big as a pair of SVT15Es or B115Es stacked. It does sound sweet tho.
I ran a 215E with a GK 700RB Mark II for a couple years and loved it. The only reason I sold it was to downsize which was a bad idea. I try to get every cab to sound like it... It was punchy and full & could really fill a room without being overbearing..
Never overheated. There's about 3/8" clearance between the top of the 1001 head where the fan is located and the inside of the Road Ready case.

actually all speakers move at the same speed. the 15's sound like they move slower because of the way they disperse upper mids and highs as opposed to 10"s.
