Anyone stack 2 SVT15E's?

Im looking for a more modular approach. I like 2x15 cabs but dont need one all of the time. I also like 410s but for bigger gigs dont want to carry / transports 2 of them.

Ive used my SVT15E with my 70RBII and liked it for a good, punchy blues tone with a P Bass. Im now thinking of getting another as its a real mismatch with the 410HE.

Any thoughts / experiences?

I've seen that done before.

Two SVT15E's should sound pretty much the same as one SVT215E, I think, since the larger cab seems to basically just be two of the smaller cab in one box anyway.

2x SVT115E will sound very nice, very good low end tone etc.

I use the mismatch setup you mention and it sound good to me.

I put the 4x10 at the bottom and the 1x15 on the top. Nice high and low end on my tone.

My current rig is actually mixed. Ashdown 2x10 and Ampeg 1x15. Unlike many, but like badboy1984, I actually put the 15" on top.

i use two b-15 cabs most of the time. love it! nothing works best with another cab than more of the same.

I've only done the two SVT115E thing once. I really enjoy the tone of my single SVT115E, and two carried pretty much the same tone only louder due to the increased surface area.

Out of interest, has anyone tried 2 of these cabs with an all tube head? I know sealed cabs would be best but sealed 1x15s seem quite rare here?

Nothing to worry, SVT-15E is very articulate and punchy. Should be tone bliss.
I'm going to stack two 15E as soon as the real giggin started.
And the Legendary B-15 is also all tube amp with front ported '15 cab

It was a 4 pcs. rock/blues group. No FOH.
He was playing a MIM Fender Road Worn Jazz with D.A. Half round strings.
Impressed me so much I've now bought a Road Worn Jazz also!

It was a 4 pcs. rock/blues group. No FOH.
He was playing a MIM Fender Road Worn Jazz with D.A. Half round strings.
Impressed me so much I've now bought a Road Worn Jazz also!

clone with a pair of the old Altec Driver'd guaranteed for life 115's:

I play through SVT 2x15 cabs, and ran through a pair of SVT 15E's at a jam night once that a guy brought. Sounded just as good to me. Not a big fan of mixed cab since I go for more of a vintage low & warm sound - as opposed to hifi & full range, but go with whatever sounds good to you.

I used to use my 115E with my SVT-II (all tube) head. It's only because a Bergantino NV610 became available and I was concerned about the impedance mismatch that I switched.

The recordings in my sig are all mic'd off that setup.

The SVT15E does not have a tweeter.

I've been wanting to do this for a long time but havent gotten around to buying another SVT15. Already have one of them and whenever Ive tried to pair it with the 410HE, it sounds like they dont match AT ALL. Not quite sure why Ampeg voiced them so differently. The sealed 410 just can keep with the ported 15 inch cab. It did sound amazing bi amped though, with the crossover set around 80Hz on the SVT410HE.
