What do you think of the newer Hartke line?? The Kilo and LH1000 amps and the Hydrive speaker line?? Just curious.

Anyone tried the newer Hartke stuff?

I own the lh 500 and run it through a pre fender Swr 6x10 and its amazing. No experience with any hartke cabs but I have heard the hydrive cabs are great.
I also have the LH500. This mother is loud! Simple and loud. I play it through older Hartke 4x10s and 8x10s and it's awesome. I haven't had too much experience with the Hydrive stuff at loud volumes, but from what I hear, they are dang good as well.

lh1000 and hydrives are very nice. haven't played a kilo. if i wasn't so into the ampegs, i could be talked into hydrives.

If the power amps are run in un-bridged mode it is a quieter amp. I run mine in bridged mode into a 4 ohm load to get the full 1100 watts. It's plenty loud!

One of those reviews features lucid thoughts and complete sentences. The other one looks to have been texted in from a stoned 13 year old. Draw your own conclusion.
I have a Hartke XL-410 that has been my main gigging cab since the mid-90s and I will never let it go. I also play a Hartke 4.5 cab that my church bought new about 3 years ago and my opinion of that cabinet is extremely meh.
So as far as cabs I think the old Hartke stuff trumps the new stuff by a ways but then I'm just a crusty old-schooler too. Can't comment on the heads.

I don't own one personally, but a local shop allowed me to use a LH1000 while my amp was getting fixed and it sounded loud and amazing, it will probably be my next purchase. Also, Larry Hartke is active on here and put his cell number in a thread in case someone was having problems with their Hartke equipment, that's customer service!

I have the Hydrive HX410 and HX115 (had). I just LOVE the XH410 and get TONS of compliments on the tone and volume with the HX410. I did not however like the tone of the HX115. I had planned to use the HX115 on the low end bi-amped with the HX410, but after trying to get the sound I wanted with the HX115 I ended up selling it. Again, just LOVE the HX410 - JUST LOVE IT! I would consider buying a second HX410 if I ever need the extra volume....

i liked the 115 myself, but with a 410, no way i'd use one. that hartke 410 has as much or more on the bottom as most 115's anyway.

+1 If the LH1000 is anything it is LOUD. If that review had connected the LH1000 to a cab using one of the 1/4 outputs then it sounded like a 250-300w head because it was a 250-300w head. Gotta hook it up right!
Very true - You have to take most reviews with a grain of salt , and consider who may be giving the review. It just cracks me up when two people say the exact opposite about the product under review.

combo and the Hydrive 5210C combo. I do an accoustic set with in my eletric set with my band and i'm waiting to hear some thoughs on the Hydrive system on the fourms
My big qustion is that I'm going from a head and 2 cabs to 2 combo amps are the combos are good as the head+cabs?

We got a 115c as a thrasher bass amp for the studio and it's very loud, gives loads of low end and the mids and highs are clean.
Its a great combo , especially if you like kickbacks and its suprisingly versatile.
Bit of a boulder for moving around though.

The HyDrives are great sounding cabs. However, mine doesn't seem to get along with my tube heads all too well (too much speaker over-excursion for some reason). I was getting ready to purchase one of those $199 Eden preamps and pair it with my QSC PLX1600 and HyDrive to have a sweet hybrid rig. 
^This is exactly what I am thinking. I'll bet it was being played through a single 8Ω cab. I have a 3500 and there's no way it would be able to compete with an LH1000 unless this is the case.
I desperately need to upgrade my equipment and have been looking at options. I think I'm going to put up my 3500 on the classifieds and get a LH1000. The thought being to eventually use it as a back up and practice amp when I get it together enough to buy an Ampeg for or Kilo for my main rig.

HX cabs...I have less experience...but sound good based on a couple experiences....can't elaborate greatly as I have no direct A/B to other cabs in an otherwise fixed setting
The LH series.....simple, powerful, punchy and sounds quite good. To be honest I am quite impressed with the LH1000 in all regards. Now, if a tube change could make it a slight tad smoother overall without losing the good dynamics, and mainly in the upper registers, and make the high end ever so slightly more dynamic too with a touch less upper edge, well, it might just be perfect......But it is very good as is...period! Bridging does make a big difference, and you must realize its a passive tone stack.....and should treat as such to get the tone IMHO
its not dead silent, but not overly noisy...I would say typical
