Anyone try out the SolidGold FX Funk Box?

So I was doing research on envelope filters and I found this nice looking pedal with a footswitch that let's you change the direction of the sweep, which got me interested. At about the 3:30 mark the guy doing the video mentions that the lower sweep settings let more bass through making it "ideal" for bass:

So, has anyone tried this pedal, if not, what are your thoughts on it? I think it looks nice, and the controls are not to complex yet still quite versatile. It has a good pure sound to it, which is one thing I'm looking for in a filter. Just judging on the video, any opinions?
Do you think it would be "ideal" for bass?

Filters are like fuzzes we all have a different 'ideal' one man's holy grail is another's POS.

I didn't listen to the whole clip but I reckon it squeezes out some pretty sweet quacks. I'd think it would sound good on bass but it's hard to tell without hearing it.
