Hi everyone,
Disclaimer: I have an AMT SP25B and like it so I'm not interested in any other microphone recommendations. I know what's out there and for me and my price point right now this is working just fine. Thank you.
Having said that, I was wondering if anyone uses one with a blender and if you do, how it works out. Also, if you do, do you still use the AMT preamp that is supplied or do use phantom from the blender without the AMT preamp. I searched and couldn't find anything on this. I like the thump of a mic and I do a fair bit of arco and no piezo sounds good in my opinion. I do like the pointed and direct sound of a piezo though and would like to add a bit to my sound. I have a realist lifeline and think its the best piezo I've used so I'll go with that one. I am not sold on a piezo alone and was contemplating picking up the vintage revolution acoustic box because I just heard one and it sounded great! Better than the Headway or Grace in my opinion. I find those to be a bit brittle. Any insight into your experience on this will be much obliged.
Thanks in advance!
Oz
