Double Bass Anyone use a 24" high stool for playing the DB? Thoughts?

Saw a 24" stool for sale and am curious if that height is feasible...especially for a knuckle dragging Neanderthal like myself (6'3"). Whatcha think?

Is it adjustable? Are you able to try it out?

I have a friend who can play decently while sitting on a couch, at about 15" high... It looks like he is falling asleep with it, but he does well..

I'm short, but I need a seat height of at least about 30 inches in order to be able to comfortably reach the top of the fingerboard.

I use a 24” stool. I love it.

Me too - with a yoga block under my left foot. It sets up a very good physical dynamic with bass (orchestra arco), with the endpin almost all the way in.

I’m 6’ 1” and it’s to short for me. It puts my left arm to high with my old rotator cuff injuries, even with the pin all the way in. I use a Cabela’s adjustable marsh hunting stool and can get exactly the height I need. And at 50 bucks, it’s a steal.

I’m between 6’1 and 6’2, and with the end pin all the way in I find 24” to be the perfect height. The height of the nut is mitigated by the angle of the bass, though, so EEMMV.

I'm 6'3" and use 23 or 24 inch, depending on the adjustability. Feet on floor, bass angled slightly to favor E string per usual. I use a Roc n Soc drum throne, or a cheap foldable 24" bar stool with a Purple cushion on top.
