Anyone use an EQ pedal?

I have the Boss GEB-7 too and I use it for my pick tone. I play fingerstyle probably 75% of the time so the amp's EQ is dialed in for that.

But by using the pedal I can go to a killer pick tone just by stepping on it. And the best thing to me is that it has a level control...the pick always needs more lows which takes the volume up significantly, and I hate messing with the volume control on the bass or amp...usually takes a tune or two to get it set correctly and I don't want to change it.

I never put anything between the bass and the amp so I run my EQ pedal out of the effects loop, works perfectly.

Does anyone use a "programmable" Eq? I have the bass pod xt live and one of the things I love about that is you can set up different eq settings for different songs. I have an old ibanez muti-effect with a nice eq on that, but I found that I need more than just one setting.

I just recently got an Empress ParaEQ...and have been playing with it for a couple of days off and on...To be honest, I haven't got it dialed in yet...there is so much tonal variation with this thing it's scary...It's going to take me a while to get a handle on it...
