Anyone use Chicago Iron pedals?

Just looking for a new fuzz/distortion, did some youtube searching today and came across this demo:



However, I cannot find any other reviews of using this pedal with bass, and that video of it being used is so short and limited.

I've asked the poster to make a more in depth video with it, but in the meantime, I was curious if anyone on here has any experience with Chicago Iron, and that pedal specifically.

Also, I did search and find that there is not much satisfaction with this company, but I am still crazy about that little sound clip!

I'm in a hip-hop band, so when I'm not playing all Mo-towny, I need a fuzz that's more synth than rock or metal. I still want it to be a fuzz distortion, and not a straight synth, but on the synth end of the spectrum.

I like that Chicago Octavian because having the octavider which makes kind of a big synthy sound plus the fuzz is up my ally.

Anything else come to mind?

Right now I'm just using the Boss ODB-3 bass overdrive for this purpose. Meh... I also use and love the Dunlop Cry 105Q.

For a fuzz that does synth, I recommend the Iron Ether Oxide.

Brown Dog does synthy goodness (and has a clean blend).

I highly recommend a Copilot FX Orbit.

Also, based on a thread I read a little while ago, I wouldn't order from Chicago Iron directly...

The MXR Blowtorch is pretty synthy fuzz sounding, and the Source Audio Multiwave Bass Distortion would be a very good choice.
