Has anyone used these?
I'm looking to upgrade from my old, falling-apart Bose earbuds. I only play one or twice a month at church, so I'm not looking to make a large investment. I recently used a pair of Shure se215s and thought it was a fantastic upgrade, but I've heard complaints about the 215s that they tend to get muddy on the low end.
My guitarist has started to swear by the ME Electronics A151 (balanced armature) instead of his 215s, but I wonder if dynamic drivers would be better for a bassist.
I know tips are pretty important too, and while the ME's come with a set of Comply tips we have a guy that can make some custom molded tips for us that I would probably end up using.
I guess one of the other things that I think the Shures may beat the MeElectronics on is cable length. I'm a big guy, cable's got a lot of ground to cover. Even running behind me and through my shirt, my earbuds tend to unplug from the IEM pack (clipped to my belt) when I bend over to adjust something on the floor. I love the Shure cable length, but I can live with a shorter cable to save $50.
I'm open to other suggestions as well. I wouldn't want to spend much over $100.
Thanks everyone!
