Anyone using a Markbass combo?

I'm looking at the Markbass mini 121p combo. Anyone using
one? How do they stack up? Has anyone a/b'd them with
other 1x12 combos, like the GK 150mb, or???

I tried the LM2, and two combos last night at GC. The CMD 102P, and the Mini CMD 121P. I used the LM2 w/ my avatar 2x12 neo 4 ohm. I liked both the LM2 and the 2x10 combo, but the little 1x12 just ran out of gas w/ my englehardt double bass. I think I liked the 2x10 combo even better than the LM2/avatar 2x12. The 2x12 was louder, and went lower, but was definitely missing something in the mids/highs. the combo was much better at the "my bass but louder" thing. I was really disappointed in the 1x12 combo I loved the idea of tiny and 29 pounds, but i know it's simply not loud enough for my needs, the low end wasn't tight enough, and didn't have the presence of the 2x12 or the 2x10 combo.

The only problem w/ the combos is that those things are UGLY. I hate rat fur carpeting. I'm pretty sure at some point in the future they will discover all black carpet cabinets have had a cat hair attractant applied to them.

I have the 210 combo and it's one of the best bits of gear I've ever bought. Try an "advanced search" for posts by me containing the word Markbass and that should find you my opinions on it - I did do a sort of mini review a while back.

i am playing now for one year on the markbass 121p combo and its genius portable, so much power and great tone for bassguitar and doublebass,try it out

The mini CMD121p is an excellent combo. Very loud and portable. Very light. The sound is great and natural. It is by far the best mini combo availble today to my opinion. I've owned it for almost a year. I play electric 4 and 5 strings and EUB. It has never let me down. I also got the traveler 102p cab to add more power when needed. I'm sure the CMD102p combo is great as well with more lows and more power. It's a matter of taste. I like the sound of upright bass better through a 12".
