Double Bass anyone using their upright for....

Back to Greaser's question, a few years ago I filled in with a blues band in a precious, trendy joint in Hoboken. I brought my 1950 Kay S-1. It could have been good, but the rest of the band brought in amplifiers that were bigger than my car. With all the volume, the cancellation effect set in, so they played louder, and louder, and louder. Awful. The people trying to look like Stevie Ray Vaughan thought it was splendid. Never again.
