Anything wrong with these vocals

I think the singer just needs some time to truly "find his voice" stylistically. He's not quite pulling off the disaffected Morrissey kind of thing, but if it hadn't been brought up, I wouldn't have criticized the vocals. The singers definitely need to work past any weaknesses they have re: monitor mixes (learn to nail their parts under adverse conditions without it affecting their onstage manner) or they need to invest in something like an in-ear monitor system that gets used everywhere they go.

Aside from that, good bass work, Carl. Your part is neither too little nor too much, and it moves the song along nicely.

Sites like garageband you shouldn't really listen to. I don't know why but quite often it's only people that don't like that band that take the time to post on there. I mean i've seen reviews on similar sites of gold selling albums where every single review was negative... that doesn't quite make sense. Whatever man garageband can be accessed by people all over the world and alot of them will speak a different language so maybe they don't understand the lyrics or maybe different countries and customs have different musical tastes. As long as your rating well in your target area (your home country as #1) i say keep doing what you're doing.

Marineman, if you actually read the thread or had gone to garageband, you would know that you don't choose which songs to review - they are randomly selected and the songs play anonymously for the reviewer. That pretty much throws your theory out.
