Apogee Users?

I'm using an Apogee Mini-Me which is unfortunately out of production. I think that it is the single best piece of gear that I have ever bought in terms of bang-for-the-buck. The converters are great and the on board compression is very useful. The preamps aren't half bad either.

Edit: For the record, I am sending a digital signal via SPDIF to my M-Audio Delta, so I am not using any Apogee software drivers.

Generally, I don't think you can really go wrong with Apogee.

However, from what I've seen on some boards (no first-hand experience), this new hardware seems to be suffering some growing pains with drivers and other stuff for some people. There's quite an extensive thread Invalid Link Removed (there are plenty of others there if you poke around), as well as on some other sites. For that GS link, you have to get about 20 pages deep before you get any firsthand usage accounts.

I'm getting ready to put together home system and from all the posts and reviews I've read I will most likely use Apogee. I'm still deciding how much I want to spend so haven't decided on the Duet or the Ensemble.

I am using Logic Pro and Apogee works closely with Apple and Logic has Apogee support already in Logic. More important from all I've read people are saying Apogee has the best pre-amps compared to the others.

If you can hold off buying anything for a few weeks. The NAMM show is coming and that is when a lot of new gear gets released.
