App w/ both Nashville Number System AND standard notation?

For years I've been hand-writing my charts using Nashville Number System and then scanning them into the unReal Book app on my ipad (I play in a wedding/corporate event band with a repertoire of hundreds of songs in every genre). I'm hoping to go all-electronic and thus have been recently investigating the Nashville Numbers and 1Chart apps. One downside I'm seeing is the inability to also incorporate standard notation. When writing my charts on paper, I often find that while most of a song is easily charted using the NNS, it's sometimes necessary to precisely notate a specific one or two measure riff or basic line that is essential to the song. Does anyone know of an app or software that can do both?

IReal Pro can do the Numbers notation.

But are you asking if it can do both Numbers and standard on the same chart? In that case, I don’t think it will work, because you can only choose 1 font style.

Musescore does standard notation (primarily), but also supports Nashville numbers.
It's a desktop app though, not an iOS app, so you'd probably have to create all your charts in Musescore, then export as PDFs, and read on the iPad with a PDF reader. (So you couldn't edit on the fly on the iPad).

Yeah, exactly. On my paper charts I'll do a regular number system chart but if needed I'll draw a small staff with a little notation at the top or off to the side. Obviously if there's a significant amount that needs to be notated I'll just make a full chart in standard notation but I find many instances where I just need to write down one specific unison riff or signature bass line to remind myself of how it goes.

Totally agree! I've used iRealPro quite a bit to create chord charts but sometimes I need to jot down a quick bit of notation to help remember an important rhythm or melodic lick. Like you, I have also been checking out the Nashville Numbers app. Here is something that Chas Williams, the developer of NN, posted about his workflow:

"my best work flow is write the chart and open it in ForScore. There you can use their excellent annotation tools to write in syncopations, memos and highlight with colors. When finished, ForScore has a great filing system for pdf organization."

If you use MuseScore, all standard notation and chords can easily be transposed to any key signature.

Use "control K" to enter chords- and the program will see the chords as music/data to be transposed along with the standard notation.

Since your Nashville Numbers will never need to be transposed, enter them as (non musical text) rehearsal marks using "control M"

Thanks for the suggestions! Will definitely check out these options. What I ultimately envision is an app that could to a NNS chart but have the ability to insert a staff anywhere you want on the page.
