Are all multi-effects>USB cables the same?

I want a longer USB cable for my B3. I thought maybe a long printer cable, but then scratched that idea because I doubt they're pinned the same. Are all musical USB cables interchangeable?

All standard USB 2 cables (music or not) are the same. Note that standard USB has a max length of 5 meters. Beyond that and you'll need a repeater or an active extension. HTH

a usb cable with a barrel (they call them "ferrite chokes") in the cable will help a little bit with noise messing with the bits. Okay I'm wrong. The chokes actually keep the cables from broadcasting RF interference ... that might mess with your analog signal cables, etc.
