+1, and IME Nickel Lo Riders have a nice gutsy low mid emphasis that would be great for fretless, although if you do a lot of string bending, the Sunbeams are more supple.Round wound strings help give fretless basses that distinctive "mwah" sound.

I have Chromes on my sixer, for now, you have to order the .030 C string seperate.Thank all of you!
So... since we're on the subject, what kind of flatwounds should I buy for my six?
I really wanted those chromes, but I found they don't exactly make a high C.![]()
Rotosound makes a high c flat wound string. You have to order a 4 set then get the B and C seperate to make a 6 set.
