Are Peavey cabs any good?

Peavey = a work horse.
I have a small TKO75 1x15 combo that I use as a practice amp thats as old as the dinosaurs. It recently filled up a 600 seat performing arts center with adequate sound and tone to get the job done.
Peavey makes good, reliable, moderately priced amps and cabs.

Not to mention it's a flat out amazing sounding 215!
Also had/have a 210TX and 410TFX. Both amazing cabs.
I have a Peavey 115BVX and a Peavey MAX 115 combo. They are both pretty reliable. I bought the 115BVX used and it still looks good and sounds good. It isn't something I would use as a standalone cab, but I don't think a single 15 would ever do it for me regardless of the make.
As almost everyone has said, they are reliable. My brother plays the Peavey head and Peavey 412 guitar cab that my dad used when he was in a band during the mid 80s. It's quite impressive. He also has a 412 slant cab that he bought off of a friend for a steal of a price that is still kicking.
I would have really liked a Tour 810 paired with the Tour 215. It would look awesome with them arranged horizontally so the 15s are on the bottom, assuming they are modular. I looked at the manuals for them online and it seems that they have the same dimensions. Mmm.

Over the years,i've played thru s***loads of Peavey cabs(P.A.,amps,too).If they are still like they used to be,a tank couldn't blow one up.They were absolutely bulletproof.
I once had a 210 18! I was young and had a good back! Great cab but... it's built like a tank and was Heavy! Peavey = Heavy!
Ok, stop with the Peavey = Heavy. This thread is about the Tour series, not the low end stuff. If the Peavey tour cabs have anything going for them it is that they are not so heavy anymore. High-end Peavey != Heavy.

I have a peavey 1x15 and i LOVE it. Not sure of the year but it sounds amazing. Oddly enough though when i'm playing out of just that single cab my Kustom2oo sounds better than my Peavey Mark VI.
At the moment i am also eyeing a Peavey 2x10/2x18 on the local Craigslist....

Hehe, that's the one. However, sadly i don't think it will happen:
1. I have no way of transporting it. My little Civic barely fits my Ampeg 2x15...
2. Dude wants to sell w/a head and a 4x10 as a set and i can't afford to total sum at the moment...
Also, like that link you provided, i have also heard wishy-washy things about the 2x10s in the cab as well...

Yeah, I've been frustrated in the past too by sellers who refuse to break up "the set", typically a rig big enough to play Madison Square Garden. And your Ampeg is killer enough no doubt.

I've used it. Sounds WAYYYYYYYYYY better than any Ampeg fridge I've tried. Probably very reliable too, as anything Peavey.

But You are correct, my Ampeg is JUST fine, and with my additional peavey 1x15, the total of 3x15s is MORE than enough for almost anything i could think of...

Any more details that you'd care to add, like was it in a band situation, or a store demo? Inside or outside? And with what kind of amp head?
And did you have to move it yourself? (I'm asking b/c my roadies are usually me, myself, and I).

That's too bad as the 3620 is sweet (I should know

I just bought the Eden V300T w/o a cab. I needed to play it at my local music shop in order to hear it and decide what cab I want to play it through.
First off, the Eden full tube sounds freekin' awesome!!!
I played a Peavy Tour 410 first, then a Fender 410 Pro (I think it was their pro line).
I was surprised for some reason about how great the Peavy sounded. I have been not giving Peavy a fair shake in my mind as I've been thinking through this purchase. I had to hear this in order to believe it.
Tone is warmer and the "feel" of the tube sound comes through the Peavy. Mids and highs were bright and clean. Not sure how much that has to do w/ the cab or amp. But compared to the Fender 410, it's way better. Same price too.
