Are plexiglass(clear) basses any good?

Do you like plexiglass(see-through) basses?

Definitely get one, and fill it full of LEDs that flash different patterns in time with the beat. That's a way to get the attention back from those attention whore guitarists and singers.
 
I'm not sure what the point of this thread is. How many luthiers/corporations are actually building basses out of these materials these days?

Is there a reason for that? I would think that there must be.
