Are we supposed to enjoy rehearsing?

Kinda wish the OP would respond to the questions as to why he finds rehearsal boring. Hopefully the suggestions posted here are helpful, but I'd like to know more about what's happening...

That said, I enjoy rehearsal because, like someone else posted, I enjoy all aspects of the musical process, from writing and arranging, to polishing and performance. I also enjoy the recording process, tedious though it can be sometimes. Yes, gigs are more fun for obvious reasons, but our weekly rehearsal sessions are great. They're productive, creative, and everyone gets to exercise their chops and rock out (we do not use band time for personal practice). We all enjoy each others' company, too, so when we have to miss a week (rare, but it happens), we miss each other as much as the music.
