Multiple basses with different strings.Anyone else in the same boat?
I am. I go flats, rounds, flats, rounds, repeat, repeat. Ok I’ll keep flats on a Pabst’s and that Marcus-ish J will keep rounds, but the general purpose basses will go through cycles. I like the zing, the I like the mellow, I miss the zing, where’s the mellow? Anyone else in the same boat?
^I went through a period. Cleaning the remnants out of my string box this year. I like the darn Rotosounds too much.

Love reading all the pure nickel love in this thread.
On a swinging whim, I recently tried a set of GHS Balanced Nickels on a P-Bass = heaven under my fingers and especially in my ears. These strings are fantastic... smooth and deep, seem to get better with age. I thought I had my regular string with D'Addario NYXLs (nickel allow around a hex core)... and while they're still great strings, I have a new favorite right now.
I haven't tried the DR Pure Blues yet... but would love to see how they compare.
