I recently was watching some live videos of Angel Witch and Venom, and noticed that both of their bassists used Arias. I liked the tone quite a bit., but they seem kind of pricey. So are these basses worth it?

depends what you get.. my first bass was a white Aria Pro II PJ something or other, and it was made of plywood... that's right... PLYWOOD 
it put me off Aria for life, but I hear their higher end stuff is better
