Aria Pro ii RSB Special ii pickup swap?

I have an Aria Pro ii RSB with j pickups in it, and I’m considering changing the pickups. These basses use an unconventional pickup cover system, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any manufacturers who make pickups that would fit? Alternatively, would it be possible to buy pickups from another brand (that don’t fit), take them out of their cover, and put them in the Aria’s pickup covers? Does anyone make custom pickup covers?

My guess is that Aria pickups are epoxy cast so taking covers off is a bit difficult. It can be done and you may be able to remove the covers in usable condition. I doubt anyone makes direct replacements. You may have to find a way to make custom covers. You can make them by taking a silicone mold of the originals and cast the new pickups inside the mold or make covers out of wood or 3d-print the covers. All doable, just takes some time and money.

Check in the Aria Pro II club thread! There might be some advice for you there. I would have said Rautia pickups in Finland but he has recently retired! He made excellent drop in replacements.

What do they measure, length & width? I’m wondering if the Bartolini X4 might be similar in size.

They measure roughly 118x25 mm.
