I an a big APII fan. My first I bought new in 1985. It is an RSB Special II with the dual single pickups. I am wondering how many of you have one?

How do you get that formatted that way?
One of the reasons I started this thread is to gauge how rare it is. I have lived with this bass since 1985 and haven't seen another.

Just out of curiosity, does it say Made in Japan or Made in Korea somewhere on it? I know most desirable Aria Pro IIs were Matsumoko products; I'm just trying to learn stuff.
That's a pretty cool bass despite my fear of red basses.
EDIT: Looks very similar to the RSB Special II:

I just bought one a couple days ago. Black, neck in great shape, body has been loved a little. The pickups were replaced with SD 1/4 pounders under the original covers. The covers on mine don't have exposed pole pieces, so that is something I'm trying to research, too. I can't find the exact covers on any Matsumoku bass. I'm also working on an RSB Deluxe rebuild, and several Westones. LOVE love love those 1980's Matsumoku basses!!I an a big APII fan. My first I bought new in 1985.
