ARIF Mirabdolbaghi

I love Arif and have since I first picked up Kezia. His bass style is so unique and fluid. If water was a bass, it would sound like Arif. His ability to layer sounds and work his way through the textures of PTH's music is fundamental to their sound. I have always wanted to do as much as I can, not emmulate, but fuse his styles with my own. He is an inspiration.

i adore arif! his style has influenced mine more than any other bassist out there, and it is no coincidence that i made massive strides in ability and style after beginign to listen to protest the hero.

btw, ive been trying to find out arif's gear for months now, can anybody sho me or direct me to a list of all his gear?

Arif is the man. Another i can point out as being just about the same level of musicianship(for me anyway) is the bass player for Between the Buried and Me: Dan Briggs. I apologize for adding this guy into Arif's thread but i figured id see if anyone felt the same about him too. I mean the bands are in a similar genre and everything.

Arif is the single most important musical influence in my life, which says a LOT. I wouldn't be a bass player (or a 5 string player) if I hadn't fallen in love with PTH's sound. I really hope to meet him one day. Arif is the man! Also, having bought their guitar tab books, bloodmeat is one of the easiest bass songs to learn haha. Here's how I learned it, good luck to those trying!

Also, I feel like I should mention I also recognize BTBAM's bassist as well. Props to him for impressing me almost as much as Arif.
