Any distortion is going to affect the tuner's ability to track. High gain, pitch shifters, chorus, delay, etc. all need to be bypassed if you put your tuner at the end of your chain. If you have low B this is even more critical I think. Just my opinion! You can make it work wherever you want and you'll learn where you like it.
Oh yea definitely. Are you referring to having the distortions etc ON while tuning? Because yea that'll definitely effect it. Ive had the tuner on the amp end before and it works fine but switched it to the bass side a while back. But when I tuned I never had any of the effect pedals engaged while doing it. But I get what you're saying.
Thinking about it, the only thing I ever need to troubleshoot is if I'm in a whacky venue and my wireless acts up. So switching hard wired, and having my Tuner first, really wouldn't matter. Because I'm just unplugging the bass. So Maybe I'll just keep it where it is, and move my EQ to right behind the tuner.
