Ashdown Amp Head?

I know I'am a newbie but what exactly is the input and output knobs do? and what is that DI thing (looks like a microphone input)

Overall is this a nice head? I dont know much about heads

DI is a direct input into the board (mixing desk) from the pre-amp but can be selected before pre-equalisation. This means that you dont have to mic the cabs up (however i like to mic the cabs up). Also you can use the head for recording if you want.

The input and output nobs are:

Input: The level which your bass signal is set at when it goes into the amp.

Output: Is basically the master volume control.

This should be under the category of "Amps" first of all.

I own that amp head. It's good. I recommend it. It's plenty loud enough. It has a very vintage tone. So if you're looking for that, get this amp. If you want a more hi-fi modern sound it's not the best thing for ya. It's a very straightforward head. No bells or whistles, just the basics.

I recommend it. Are there better heads out there? Yes. But this definitely gets the job done for me (and i have a LOUD guitarist and a LOUD drummer).

I also recommend this head. Not the most versatile in the world, but it does what it does well.
