Ashdown CL-810 question

Anyone use or ever used an ashdown classic series CL810? The one with the red grille cloth. Just got one, haven’t gotten to gig it yet but wanted to hear others thoughts.

I've had other configurations of the same line. Really great old school tone.

I was running a Little Bastard into a 212 and a 115 (not at the same time).

I felt they struggled with higher powered amps so be careful how many watts you are running through there.

I reckon the speakers are a bit fragile compared to your SVTs and GKs

Dang wonder why, it’s rated at 1200w. When an ampeg 810 is 800? I believe

Sorry, not specifically the 810. More for the smaller cabinets.

One of those with the 800W Dual Tube head would've been Bassgasm(tm) territory for me 10 years ago. Dang.

had one. It was wonderful -- I used it with an aguilar db359, but goddamn was that a big, awkward, heavy, hard to move around rig. Great if you have roadies.

I would disagree here, Nate Mendel has said outright that he went to Ashdown cabs because they held up better than anything he’s used before, and the Foo Fighters are notorious for being as loud as possible in stage
