Can anyone give me any suggestions or thoughts about the choice between an Ashdown MAG 300 15" Combo or a MAG300 head and the 1x15 Deep Bass Cab.
I played the Head / Cab setup last week in a shop and loved how deep and warm it was (compared a cheaper Fender combo and the Ashdown Elec Blue combo), but now I'm beginning to worry if it may be 'too' deep, and lack the clarity or punch I need to get through the band (I play in a 9 piece Soul band).
I notice the Combo has a smaller cab, so probably won't have the same bottom end, but alternatively I could go with the head / cab and hope to get enough money together to put the 2x10 (+ tweeter) cab with it to make a 'full stack'.
Anyone who has any opinions, or experience of similar decisions, I'd be grateful to hear from you.
