Ashdown MAG 600 VS Marshall DBS 7200

As per the title. I can get my hands on either the Ashdown MAG 600 (Blueface) or a Marshall DBS 7200 for less than 200 English pound each. What do you guys suggest? I played a DBS back in the day and it was like a freight train in a thunderstorm. Never played an Ashdown before so I have no idea about them. I'll be running it through a Hartke Transporter 4X10 and I'm also looking at getting a 1X15 or 1X18. Obviously one amp is 600w and the other 200w. Been out the game for a long time, but getting back into it.

What's the general consensus? Thanks in advance.

Yes! That's the thing I remember about the 7200, that beautiful, rich, deep tone...and the Ashdown, I agree, the power is there and some. I have an old Laney DP300 that is a beast, but I'm re-capping and servicing it at the moment, so it's in bits...I have so many projects going on.

I own a 7200 and a couple of 7400’s.
The ashdown is the amp of choice in most rehearsal spaces.
Where the ashdown is really nice, I always prefer my Marshall’s.
Tbh though, if you can get a 7400 the difference is palpable. More weight, authority ( and all of those adjectives.)
The 72 will give a great account of itself though.

The Transporter 410 is an 8ohm cab yeah? That's also going to reduce the power output of the DBS7200... 130Watts optimistically.
I don't know your volume requirements but that's getting kind of bare minimum IMO.

I once had the pleasure of a backlined 7400 and matching 410, so, so good!

Yes, the TP 10 runs at 8Ω. Trying to get a 1x15 or 1x18. I'd prefer the 400w version of the DBS, but can't afford one right now. I'm not gigging at the moment, so volume shouldn't be a problem right now, thankfully! The DBS may just be enough to annoy my noisy neighbours though. The amp/s most likely will require a clean and service. I'll check all the gubbins and, if worth while, I may even change a few capacitors in there. I can always sell it on in the future and make a bit of profit as the DBS has been sitting unused for a year or so, so could probably use a little TLC and a service🤘🏼
